The Miami City Council declared June 10th as the “Day of Ecuadorian People,” after recognizing the contributions of the Ecuadorian community in the Capital of the Sun.
Miami mayor Tomás Regalado made this resolution tangible during a Town Hall event on June 10th. The official also gave Ambassador of Ecuador Nathalie Cely Suarez the keys to the city and a special recognition to Eduardo Rivadeneira, Consulate General of Ecuador in Miami.
In Ambassador Cely’s remarks, she highlighted Ecuador’s economic and social breakthroughs. Thereafter, Consulate General Rivadeneira received a standing ovation from the audience for introducing the renowned international tourism campaign video of “All you need is Ecuador.”
